In that sense, Grey House encourages audiences to return to pick up the clues they missed the first time around, but that could've been remedied by adding a few more concrete answers to its book, especially since it explores such heavy and sensitive subject matter. Even now, there are still multiple things that I don't understand about Grey House, which could either be freeing or frustrating for viewers. While the eerie beginning may draw inspiration from tried-and-true horror tropes, Grey House, which recently opened at the Lyceum Theatre on Broadway, succeeds in subverting both the genre and audience expectations by weaving together a haunting story of horror and heart.

The two-time Tony winner's relationship with the kids often vacillates between hilarious and heartbreaking, and it's her simple scenes with Simmonds and Caruso that are far and away the most poignant moments of the show. The play, which stars Laurie Metcalf, Tatiana Maslany and Sophia Anne Caruso and features direction by Joe Mantello, began preview performances at the Lyceum Theatre on April 29 and opened on June 6. While the concept of horror is not often seen on Broadway, the production was not able to translate that to ticket sales and saw a soft box office throughout its run. A limited number of $35 general rush tickets are available in-person at the box office on the day of the performance, on a first come, first served basis.

Sophia Anne Caruso currently stars in Netflix’s hit feature The School For Good And Evil, directed by Paul Feig and adapted from the New York Times best-selling series of novels by Soman Chaiani. Sophia stars opposite Charlize Theron, Kerry Washington, and Sofia Wylie in the film, which became #1 on Netflix in numerous countries within the first 24 hours of its release. Sophia has already cemented herself as a staple of the theater community. She starred as Lydia in Warner Bros’ cult Broadway favorite, Beetlejuice, directed by Alex Timbers, for which she received a Theater World Award and a Clive Barnes Award Nomination. Sophia made her Broadway debut in the highly praised production of David Harrower’s Blackbird with Jeff Daniels and Michelle Williams and directed by Joe Mantello. She previously received Outer Critics Circle Award and Lucille Lortel Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Musical for her breakout performance in New York Theater Workshop’s critically acclaimed run of the David Bowie and Enda Walsh hit musical, Lazarus.

The building has operated as an office building for most of its history. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1977.[4][16] It was purchased by developer and champion of downtown restoration Ira Yellin[17] in the early 1980s,[18] who invested $7 million in restoration,[6] preservation and seismic retrofitting between 1989 and 1991. As part of the restoration, a storage area at the south end of the building was converted to a new rear-entrance portico, connecting the building more directly to Biddy Mason Park and the adjacent Broadway Spring Center parking garage. The building's lighting system was also redesigned, bringing in alabaster wall sconces from Spain. There’s retribution coming, justice of sorts for a long, unforgivable history of male-on-female violence, murdered girls and the boys-to-men who get away with it all.
When a couple crashes their car in the mountains, they seek shelter in an isolated cabin. Its inhabitants, though somewhat unusual, are eager to make their guests feel right at home. But as the blizzard outside rages on and one night turns into several, the couple becomes less and less sure of what's true—about their hosts, themselves, and why that sound in the walls keeps getting louder. The west side of the 200 block of South Broadway had a key place in the retail history of Los Angeles from the 1893 through 1917, as it was home to several prominent early department stores such as the Ville de Paris, Coulter's department store from 1905–1917, and J.
Today, this view would be of the 2009 LAPD Headquarters taking up the entire block on the left and on the right, the 1935 Los Angeles Times Building, and behind it, the 1948 Crawford Mirror Addition building. The Poundcake Hill buildings originally backed up to Broadway to their west, and faced New High Street to their east. New High Street (see Sanborn map above) was a north-south street that ran parallel to Broadway, and to Spring Street to its east. As part of the construction of City Hall in the early 1920s, New High Street was removed south of Temple, and Spring Street was realigned more towards a north-south orientation, parallel with Broadway, instead of running more northeasterly and meeting Main Street at Temple Street. As a result the Poundcake Hill buildings faced the newly aligned Spring Street until they were demolished. Those interested in knocking on Grey House's door should know that it's much more of a psychological thriller than a classic horror tale.

She later reprised her role in the production’s London transfer. The strange family welcomes the couple with open arms, tending to Henry's shattered ankle and offering a place to stay until the storm subsides. Better yet, they encourage Henry to sample their very best moonshine — or "nectar of dead men," as they call it. If it's all starting to sound a little too good to be true, that's because it very much is, as Max and Henry discover that nothing within the house is as it seems, including each other. From Third Street south to Olympic Blvd. (originally Tenth St.), and from Hill Street east to Los Angeles Street, including Broadway, is the Historic Core district, the city's main commercial and entertainment area in the first half of the 20th century. The Bradbury Building appeared in the noir films Double Indemnity (1944),[32] The Unfaithful (1947), Shockproof (1949), D.O.A. (1950) and I, The Jury (1953) [33] (the latter filmed in 3-D). M (1951), a remake of the 1931 German film, contains a long search sequence filmed in the building, and a notable shot through the roof's skylight. Rather than enter through the theater's front doors, denizens of this Kat Kat Club walk in through the side, for a show before the show. Redmayne said, "You get taken into these cavernous bars, and you pass performers, musicians, extraordinary dancers, with the idea being that once you enter the theater – the theater proper – you have genuinely left all your troubles outside. You're in Weimar Germany." For this production the stage is surrounded on three sides by seats. In a radical re-imagining of the August Wilson Theatre, designer Tom Scutt ripped out the old stage and added seating to create a nightclub in the round. For while the playwright has provided notes about grieving children who died horrible deaths at the hands of men needing love, those ideas filter into “Grey House” with more poetry than specificity. The drearily in-between shades of gray here represent a purgatory, a waystation between Heaven and Hell. Who will end up where, and how badly hurt they are when they leave, are the only questions that get any sort of resolution by play’s end. But mostly let’s go with the freak-out fun of the four telekinetic weirdos and their den mother, Raleigh, played by Laurie Metcalf in a stringy salt-and-pepper wig that’s almost as frightening as she is. Raleigh is not very maternal; Marlow says she is their mother “sometimes.” Other than feeding them and untangling their tresses as if weeding a garden, she generally leaves them to their own devices. Grey House is a dramatic stage play written by American playwright Levi Holloway.
It was the first time major retail stores opened on South Broadway, in what would be a shift of the upmarket shopping district from 1890 to 1905 from around First and Spring to South Broadway. In 1904, Coulter's bought the Potomac Block, and combined it with the Bicknell block to create its new store that opened in 1905. The Bradbury appeared in a 1979 music video for "Take Me Home" by Cher, in addition to music videos from the 1980s by Heart, Janet Jackson, Earth Wind and Fire, Phil Seymour and Genesis, and a Pontiac Pursuit commercial. Part of Janet Jackson's 1989 film short Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814 was filmed in the building as well.
Neuwirth plays Fräulein Schneider, the gentile owner of a boarding house who falls in love with a Jewish man, and then faces a terrible decision. "There's darkness and there's light in everything," Neuwirth said. "And in this show, there is light and there is horror as well." On this corner stood four buildings in succession, the first two of which had a key role in the history of retail in Southern California, as it was home to a number of upscale retailers who would later grow to be big names in the city, and some, regional chains. At the northwest corner of Franklin and Spring stood two buildings in succession, the Rocha Adobe, then the Phillips Block. Error preventionEven better than good error messages is a careful design that prevents a problem from occurring in the first place. Either eliminate error-prone conditions or check for them and present users with a confirmation option before they commit to the action. Within the world of interaction and interface design, there have been several notable attempts at codifying best practices (heuristics) in the design for screen-based interaction. One of the best known within the industry is the 10 usability heuristics for user interface design by Jakob Nielsen, who developed them based on work with Rolf Molich in 1990.

The human eye and brain perceive a unified shape in a different way to the way they perceive the individual parts of such shapes. In particular, we tend to perceive the overall shape of an object first, before perceiving the details (lines, textures, etc.) of the object. When we’re designing websites, we can make use of a grid for achieving a sense of unity, since elements organised in a grid will follow an orderly arrangement. We do need, however, to introduce some variety in our work in order to strike a balance between a boring and a chaotic design.

Good design is a delicate balance of form, function and user-centered design principles. It is a combination of aesthetic appeal, practicality and accessibility that creates a beautiful and effective product. It is about creating solutions to problems, considering the user's needs (not always obvious or direct to the initially intended problem) and finding the best way to address them. Ultimately, good design should make our lives easier and more fulfilling.

Balance can be achieved by having symmetry in the design (for instance, having a webpage with centralised text and images). However, you can also achieve balance without symmetry — perhaps unsurprisingly, this is known as asymmetrical balance.

Its impact helps designs in transcending trends and maintaining relevance. It reduces complexity and turns it into a harmonious and easily understandable design. In essence, simplicity is the key that transforms a design from being merely effective to being powerfully resonant and universally acceptable. They guide how elements interact, ensuring consistency, proximity, and visual hierarchy, as highlighted in this video with Frank Spillers, CEO of Experience Dynamics. Hierarchy in design refers to the arrangement of elements in a way that signifies importance. It guides viewers' eyes, ensuring they focus on primary information first, followed by secondary and tertiary details. Designers establish a visual hierarchy by employing size, contrast, color, and spacing, directing attention and aiding comprehension. Design principles represent the accumulated wisdom of researchers and practitioners in design and related fields. When you apply them, you can predict how users will likely react to your design.
Visual Aesthetics
Good design is aestheticThe aesthetic quality of a product is integral to its usefulness because the products we use every day affect our person and our well-being. It’s easy to admire the effect as a whole without looking past it at the nuts and bolts—the elements that are set together so well and according to age-old principles so as to create that ‘wow’ effect. Scale can be used to create a hierarchy for and add emphasis to certain elements on a design. By using scale to make an element larger than others appearing with it, you can emphasise that element. Not only can you make an element stand out this way—you can also use scale to create a sense of depth (since nearer objects appear larger to the human eye). Exaggerated scales of images also add a certain level of interest and drama to them.

Balanced designs tend to appear calm, stable and natural, while imbalanced designs make us feel uneasy. Unity has to do with creating a sense of harmony between all elements in a page. A page with elements that are visually or conceptually arranged together will likely create a sense of unity. We use colours in visual design to convey emotions in and add variety and interest to our designs, separate distinct areas of a page, and differentiate our work from the competition. Some designs make use of negative space to create interesting visual effects. For example, the famous World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) logo makes use of the confusion between positive shape and negative space to create the image of a panda.

Even corporate brands that have a decades-long history of enforcing the same branding and marketing image add new symbols, colors, and imagery once in a while. Launching a new product could be an excellent opportunity to experiment a bit and add more variety to your brand image (e.g., the black can of Coke Zero). If you’ve ever tried designing anything for print, you’ll be aware how vital this principle is. The principle of proportion relates to adding visual weight and size of the elements in a design.
“Pair it with wood tones for warmth and color for a playful touch,” offers the founder of Memmo Interiors, who notes that aluminum can have the tendency to appear cold if not styled thoughtfully. “Adding upholstered cushions, using one of the many outdoor fabrics now available, gives you all the comfort of indoor furnishings and seamlessly extends your design style outdoors,” says designer Pamela Nast. Many designers appreciate that aluminum pieces can function both indoors and out. “If your home is designed for indoor-outdoor living especially, it can be nice to have some material overlap between them for continuity,” says Adnan Anwar, the founder of Adnan Anwar Design.
Also, colors can appear different depending on their background, a phenomenon known as simultaneous contrast. For an in-depth exploration of color's impact on design, watch the insightful video by Joann Eckstut on the topic. Focus on emotion – the pleasure of use is as vital as ease of use; arouse users’ passion for increasing engagement. Design is not about pictures placed together and arranged in a way that creates a story. This whimsical design created by Ella Claire Inspired uses oversize vintage toys like teddy bears, model planes, and pennants to bottle the magic of the season. This Technicolor tree created by Serretta Style leans into a more-is-more aesthetic with tiers of ornaments in every color of the rainbow. While decorations in the same shapes and designs are used here (just in different shades), you could get the same effect by hanging your existing ornaments by color from top to bottom.
Nod to contemporary vibes with a white tree
Opt for chinoiserie-style ornaments and a decadent velvet ribbon garland to make it feel just as cozy as red and green. When it comes to holiday decorating, sometimes less is more. Keep it minimal with a wood bead garland, white clay ornaments and warm white string lights. Trying to choose a look for your Christmas tree can be the most daunting task of the holiday season, except for maybe picking your favorite Christmas movie. You have to decide real or fake, type of evergreen, flocked or not flocked, and last of all, the theme.
Kraft Paper Tree
Adorn your tree with bright and shiny celestial symbols to represent the promise of the season. Here, delicate angels (made from cut-and-folded silver paper) flit among hand-formed ribbon stars, while glass ornaments provide bursts of color in between. To create a minimalistic yet moody Christmas tree display, designer Jess Weeth of Weeth Home mixed paper teardrop and velvet ball ornaments in rich shades of red, brown, and black. For something a little more muted than the traditional red and green holiday palette, skip the red.

From rustic arrangements ideal for a farmhouse to standout midcentury modern Christmas tree ideas, these seasonal twists will bring magic and cheer to your home and—bonus! The icicles on this cool beauty evoke the tinsel that Sharkey loved when he was a child. To create this sophisticated display, he chose a silvertip fir with widely spaced boughs that allow plenty of room for the icicles, glitter-coated balls, and snowflakes.
Create a vignette that matches your tree on other surfaces, like the top of a nearby chest. Add ribbons to extra ornaments from the tree to the display for pops of color. When it comes time to trim a Douglas Fir tree, opt for homemade ornaments over store-bought.
Velvet Goldmine
Add a little festive cheer to your cook space with a foodie-themed tree, like this miniature one created by Meme Hill. It nods to some of the best food groups out there (hello, french fries!) and has a tribute to everyone's cookie season MVP, the KitchenAid. The summer of Barbie may be over, but that joyous love of all things pink can (and should) continue all year long. If you're feeling as bold as Margot Robbie's iconic character, go all in on a bright pink tree with gold and white accents. Like Barbie, your Christmas tree can be anything you want it to.

Pay homage to Charlie Brown’s adorable Christmas tree with this decoration idea, arguably from one of the best Christmas movies of all time. Use a white Christmas tree and blue, gray and white ornaments to recreate this glacial effect. Have yourself a very vintage Christmas with this fun Christmas tree design. Throw in some handmade vintage-style ornaments to complete the fun throwback style.
They have a very discreet battery pack too that you can simply tuck in amongst the foliage. Nordic tree decor schemes are great for households that enjoy their decor a little more dramatic. Choose darks and decorate your tree sparingly with a single color for a really striking look. Rebecca Gardner, the tastemaker behind Houses & Parties, always has a few fanciful decor tricks up her sleeve. In the case of her Christmas tree, that means going all out with old-timey ornaments collected over the years.
This will help create a sense of consistency, while still allowing you to enjoy your old favorites. The tree decorations are all in various tones of pink, lavender, green and vanilla with the odd teal accent. It makes for a very harmonious looking Christmas tree that really suits a muted scheme.
This year, the surprising story that emerged from the forest of trees was one of longevity. Not only am I happy to report that all but one of last year’s tree people are still slinging pine this time around, but the new ones on the list come with some serious growth rings of their own. Here's proof that you can make a mini DIY Christmas tree out of pretty much anything. I know that stars and angels are a traditional tree topper and I do love them. But, I also love crowning my tree with some unique floral picks like these gorgeous berries I dug out of storage from my own wedding centerpieces. I also placed small berry clumps throughout the tree for a special touch.
Gold and pink make a gorgeous combination, especially when using them in your Christmas tree decorations. Wrap all your gifts in pink paper and place them under the tree for an extra “pretty in pink” aesthetic. String a red tree with lights and you’ll create a dramatic look before you even add ornaments. This Christmas tree decorated in pastel hues looks fit for a princess. Bedeck your tree with miniature birdhouses, owl ornaments and clusters of ball ornaments in a fresh pastel color palette.
Gaining popularity in recent years, sparse and minimalist trees are the antithesis to the lush, full trees that have traditionally reigned supreme. There’s something charming and nostalgic about mismatched ornaments collected throughout the years. Reminiscing on the good old days will never go out of style, so go ahead and embrace those sentimental homemade ornaments. We're into the idea of using a vintage candy box or antique cookie tin as a tree stand for one of these small Christmas trees.

Go Ahead, Leave the Christmas Tree Up—Decor Turns Year-Round.
Cool-toned Christmas tree decorating schemes are here to stay. Make your display particularly stunning by including an all-over frosted artificial tree. If you've more modern living room decor that's on the cool side, even better. If you aren't one for fussy decor, take a minimalist approach to your tree decoration too. This simple tree just has a few decs almost haphazardly thrown onto it.
Arrange them in vases, scatter them across tables or mantlepieces, or create beautiful wall art. Consider stacking your presents into the shape of a classic holiday spruce. Make sure every box has a ribbon or star on the front to imitate ornaments. A ribbon garland is the perfect way to complete a sophisticated Christmas tree.
Jazz up an entryway table with a mini balsam fir decorated with a plaid bow, cranberry garland, tartan ornaments, and clip-on candlesticks. A flocked Christmas tree gets dressed up with vintage glass bead garlands, cross-stitched ornaments, and velvet bows both as a topper and on pastel-wrapped presents. Painted pine cones and dried orange slices pair perfectly with the rustic charm of galvanized tin bells and stars.
Dress an evergreen tree with green garland, ribbons and ornaments for a monochromatic theme. To show your commitment to the theme, wrap your gifts in a matching green hue. Children will love filling every tree branch with sweet treats (opt for faux candy, so you can reuse the pieces year after). A few ideas include wooden candy canes, squishes and even filling clear ornaments with small figurines. While we'll never say no to color, we're also on board with the idea of swathing the tree in an array of soft, warm metallics. From muted golds to darker brasses, there's a lot you can do that's elegant and full of the Christmas spirit.
These vandals are unnamed but are presumed to be, at least in part, angry Albuquerque citizens variously enraged at the murder and mayhem that Heisenberg's activities had wrought. Faced with this melee, the City of Albuquerque seized the property and in the flash-forwards and the last scenes of the series, it is shown fenced off, near-condemned, and awaiting auction ("Granite State"). Walt does return to the derelict, severely neglected house to retrieve the vial of ricin poison he had stored behind an electrical outlet guard, but that is the final visit by any member of the White family to the house. Within the damaged, decaying hallway, the name "Heisenberg" is spray-painted in yellow across from the fireplace.

Woman who lives in the Breaking Bad house absolutely roasts man trying to visit.
As it turns out, Walter White’s house in ‘Breaking Bad’ is an actual home in Albuquerque, with real people living in it. More often than not, movies and TV shows are filmed on set, and a lot of Hollywood homes are purely fictional and built on a production lot. With people trespassing and acting like utter fools, it’s no wonder the homeowners set up so many barricades to entry to their property. "Anytime you have a break in at a residence of note, in this case the mayor's residence or even just a very high-profile person, you kind of (question) is the security system up to snuff?" Thomas said. No further details were available about whether the intruder was able to bypass security measures at the residence or whether he intentionally targeted the home because the mayor lives there. LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- An intruder was arrested after breaking in to the Los Angeles mayor's official residence early Sunday morning, officials say.

They are surprised when Walt installs a new heater instead of fixing the old one, despite not (yet) having much money. While installing the new heater, Walt discovers the house has extensive wood rot around its lower walls and foundations. Believing the house might collapse on itself, Walt ends up removing the rot all throughout the day and into the night. If you’re looking for even more Breaking Badnostalgia (because is there really such thing as too much?), fans can check outthe actual RV used on the show during a tour at Sony Studios in LA. Althoughthe Sony Studios tour features relics from a long list of films and TV shows, the original Breaking Bad RV where Walt and Jesse made their first batchof meth is always a hot commodity.

Breaking Bad cost $3 million per episode to produce, higher than the average cost for a basic cable program. The network ordered nine episodes for the first season (including the pilot), but the 2007–08 Writers Guild of America strike limited the production to seven episodes, as well as delaying the start of production for the second season. Within the original nine-episode arc, Gilligan had planned to kill off Jesse or Hank, as a "ballsy" moment to end the season on. This death was eliminated with the limited episode count, which Gilligan found to be a net positive given the strength of acting that both Paul and Norris brought to these roles through the seasons. The strike also helped to slow down production long enough for Gilligan and his writing team to readjust the pacing of the show, which in the original arc had been moving too quickly.

There might not be a superlab located deep in the basement of this laundry facility, but you can still visit the location that set the stage for many tense moments between Heisenberg and Fring in Season 4's "Delta Linen Supply." A pueblo-style house in a neighborhood of pueblo-style houses, this residence is located at the end of a cul de sac, close to the Sandia Mountains. Hank brews his own beer, "Schraderbräu", in the garage, while Marie is often seen in the kitchen stirring numerous packets of Splenda into hot beverages. Because of this, Breaking Bad's viewership grew greatly as viewers binged the series on Netflix, helping to assure that a fifth season could be made. The fifth-season premiere had more than double the viewership compared to the fourth season premiere, attributed to the Netflix availability. Gilligan thanked Netflix at the Emmy Awards in September 2013 after the series' conclusion for the popularity of the series, saying that Netflix "kept us on the air".
Mike's House
Gus and Mike work to drive a wedge between Walter and Jesse, seeking to coerce Jesse to be their solitary cook by capturing Walter while at the same time eliminating the Mexican cartel. Skyler accepts Walter's meth cooking, and works with Saul to launder his earnings. Walter tricks Jesse into turning against Gus, and convinces Hector Salamanca, the last living member of the cartel, to detonate a bomb while meeting with Gus, killing them both. Jason Wallach of Vice magazine commended the accuracy of the cooking methods presented in the series. In early episodes, a once-common clandestine method, the Nagai red phosphorus/iodinemethod, is depicted, which uses pseudoephedrine as a precursor to d-(+)-methamphetamine.

See all the places 'Breaking Bad' was filmed on this Albuquerque bike tour. Here's how
The real-life home where Breaking Bad was filmed has a much less controversial and eventful history. Walter, who at the time was a successful businessman working for Gray Matter, a startup he founded with a couple of friends, insists they need a much bigger home; luckily, Skyler convinces him to stick to the house at Negra Arroyo Lane. The production team managed to convince the homeowners to let them use the property to film the show — a decision they definitely regret now, as we’re about to find.
After closing on the house, the real work began
In the backyard, the pool is now empty, crumbling, and unkempt; it is used by a group of local skateboarders as a small skate-park ("Blood Money"). Around 2010, AMC had expressed to Sony Pictures Television and Gilligan that they felt that the third season would be the last for Breaking Bad. Sony started to shop the show around, having gained quick interest from the FX network for two more seasons, upon which AMC changed its mind and allowed the show to continue. At the same time, Netflix was starting to aggressively shop for content to add to its service, and arranged a deal with Sony for Breaking Bad to be available after the airing of the fourth season. However, knowing that AMC had placed Breaking Bad on a potential cancellation route, Sony pushed to have the show added to the service in time for the fourth season.
Cast photo from the first half of the fifth and final season, showcasing all the main characters in that season, and all but three of the main characters in the series overall. Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan cast Bryan Cranston for the role of Walter White based on having worked with him in the "Drive" episode of the science fiction television series The X-Files, on which Gilligan worked as a writer. Cranston played an anti-Semite with a terminal illness who took series co-protagonist Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) hostage.
By the time that the series finale aired, it was among the most-watched cable shows on American television. The show received numerous awards, including 16 Primetime Emmy Awards, eight Satellite Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, two Peabody Awards, two Critics' Choice Awards, and four Television Critics Association Awards. In 2013, Breaking Bad entered the Guinness World Records as the most critically acclaimed TV show of all-time.
As fans know, his address on "Breaking Bad" is 308 Negra Arroya Lane, but if you punch that into Google Maps, you won't get a result for this fictional street. Instead, head on over to 3828 Piermont Drive in Albuquerque, where the real house stands. The couple closed in January 2024 and started the clearing-out process immediately. The first step was to put tarps all over the roof to ensure no more water or moisture entered the house. Because the seller lived several hours away, she would rarely visit, which is why the property was so deteriorated, the couple says.
Skyler becomes fed up with Walt’s web of lies and tries to leave him several times but eventually, she helps him launder money through their car wash business. Skyler gets in too deep with her husband’s dangerous new lifestyle and realizes that things will never be the same for their family. On August 14, 2011, AMC announced that Breaking Bad was renewed for a fifth and final season consisting of 16 episodes. The first half premiered on July 15, 2012, while the second half premiered on August 11, 2013. In August 2013, AMC released a trailer promoting the premiere of final season with Bryan Cranston reading the poem "Ozymandias" by Percy Bysshe Shelley, over timelapse shots of Breaking Bad locations.
And we’ll also tell you about the house’s eccentric owner, who doesn’t shy away from flipping off fans who drive up to the iconic TV home. He also has a contentious relationship with his father throughout the series and often drops the name Walt Jr. in favor of being called “Flynn”. He is completely oblivious to his father’s meth business until the final season. In addition to Walter White’s house, fans love visiting the car wash that he worked at as a cashier. The Breaking Bad car wash address is located at 9516 Snow Heights Circle and it goes by the name “Mister Car Wash”.
"You can really see this property had not been cared for at all," Volkov says. "Once you got inside, there was a really musky smell with the old furniture and old things there." The house was so dilapidated that the realtor had the couple sign a waiver before entering. When Jesse's parents discovered the lab, they kicked Jesse out, then spent a considerable amount of money to renovate the house and fix the damages.
Because no Breaking Bad pilgrimage would be complete without a nod to Saul Goodman, we made sure to include a location, Hooligan's Tavern, where you can grab a beer and pay homage to the sleaziest lawyer in the Southwest. To wrap up your tour, be sure to swing by The Candy Lady’s shop in Old Town Albuquerque to pick up some of Walt’s famous product. Just kidding, it’s actually rock candy that she made for the show as a prop, but now sells to the public.
Then, layer on a high-shine top coat to seal the stars in place. Whether you call them holly leaves or mistletoe (team mistletoe, over here), we can both agree that holly accents are an easy minimalist nail art idea for the holidays. Dot them on a few accent nails and leave the rest of your nails bare and shiny, or—my personal fave—pair them with bright-red nails for the full Christmas effect. While these red-and-green nails are unmistakably Christmas-themed, they’re also not so obvious that you’ll feel the need to scrub them off on December 26. Feel free to swap in shades or tones you prefer more, like a candy-cane red, a deep emerald green, or even a crisp, winter-y blue. I, for one, will be manifesting a white Christmas with these snowflake nails.

Holly used to be a symbol of fertility in Celtic culture, but since then Christians have adopted the holly tree as a symbol of Christmas.
